Canadian Shield House
A lovely house with a view in the Canadian shield
About this creation
Hey guys!
Back with something new, otherwise there would've been no little picture of something cool to click on.
Anyways, I must say to start that this is one of best things I've ever made (if I do say so myself). It is the first basement house I've done since my early early days. Like when I was 8 early. Yeah, that's like 9 years ago. So I feel I've gotten a bit better since then. I apologize that some of the pictures are different dimensions. I am also sorry if they are bad quality. I'm testing my phone camera on these.

Here's the outside. This whole thing started with a sketch and it was of a house with that doorway. The picture had that geometric doorway and the windows surrounding it. It also had that little jut out thing.

The basement is one of my favorite areas. It has tree areas: the rec area, the bathroom, and a bedroom. I hate to admit that the pool table is a modified version of the detective office one that I made with instructions online. :( The walk-in shower and bookshelves ate mine though, if you can find them.

Next is the main floor with an open concept (HGTV would be proud) kitchen and living room with a sort of breakfast bar. The spiral staircase leads to the upper floor (as you might have guessed) and in the corner is a small kids room with bunk beds built into the wall. Tilt your head for the sideways picture.

Next is the second floor, with a master bedroom, bathroom, and viewing area, this house is truly a house with a view. I realize these pictures are in a different format but I've spent so long on here already just trying to get my page to work so...

And finally, the rest of the outside:

I honestly love how this turned out and it was so much fun to build. Thankfully much smaller than my aquarium and also more sturdy.

Hope y'all enjoyed! Don't be afraid to comment! God bless!

Quoting Lance Lepcio Amazing Creation. I have already bookmarked this page and am looking fowardto another house! The creativity and detail is amazing. I believe no detail has been spared from the small kinfe holder all the way to the rocky suroundings, this is one marvelous build. Even better you have included a look-out(typethingy), and a beautiful dual sloping roofs. Just simply amazing..!!! God bless, and cheers! -Lance-
Thanks so much! There is more to come!

Quoting Promar Quadratus Gorgeous work, Winn! As always, you've gone all out to make this build not just beautiful on the outside but exquisitely detailed on the inside. Always admired that about your Lego builds (and something that I've always been lousy at trying to accomplish). I love the clean edges and the subtle bump-outs and trim that add great variety to the exterior. I'm a big fan of the shed roofs as well, if this were a house in Oregon, it would fall into the Northwest Modern architectural style (yes, we have our own architectural style in the Pacific Northwest ;) ). I don't have time to adequately discuss the intricate interior details of which I'm very fond, but I will say that I really dig that Pool Table (even if it's not your own design). God bless and keep right on brickin'! ~Promar~
Thanks Promar! I a very familiar with the northwest style, which is kind of what this was based off of, although it is lighter and has less wood than most. Always a pleasure to see you comment! God bless you too! -Winnjetbrick

Quoting El Barto ! Nicely done! Not sure how that pitch would work with the snow, though.
Not entirely sure either. But I'm sure someone would figure it out. :P Thanks!

Wowww. This is amazing, dude! From the smallest details like the cheese wedge and headlight brick for the knife holder to the big things like the great architecture, you really went above and beyond! I love the viewing area, the light tan floorboards and minimalist design added with the huge windows is really aesthetically pleasing for me. You managed to fit a ton of detail into this house and it turned out fantastic. Great job!
