Callsign LANDKILLER ONE
My wife, at a loss for what to get me for our wedding anniversary on February 14th, was looking at my vast STAR WARS LEGO collection and noticed the one thing I did not have. Because of a lack of display space I had never bought an AT-AT for myself, With our home renovations complete, I now have proper space to display a model this tall. So once again I threw myself into the world of STAR WARS and man was I happy. I wanted to create a very specific AT-AT model. The one I chose was from the EU tale " When the Desert Wind Turns, The Stormtroopers Tale" by Doug Beason. This Story is in the book "Tales From The Mos Eisley Cantina" by Kevin J. Anderson. It is the story of one Davin Felth a conscript recruit on the Imperial training world of Carida. He shows skill and aptitude and is chosen for AT-AT operator training. During this arduous training he is put in a VR equipped AT-AT that projects a battle against 4 Rebel fighters. Thinking quickly he orders the AT-AT to kneel on the ground when he realizes that he is losing his targets when the fly under him. He is the first recruit ever to bring down all four fighters. He also brings himself and his tactics to the attention to Col. Veers himself. What does Davin earn for this success for himself? you will have to read the story for yourself to find out his reward. I truly enjoyed creating this model. The STAR WARS EU will live on for its fans no matter what else happens. I hope you enjoy this MOC/MOD. Like and comment both positive and negative and keep on BRICKIN. Jimmie.

Quoting Ben The Lego Builder This looks great, mainly because of the addition of panels to add texture.
Thanks for the like and extremely kind comment, I redesigned the side panels of the walker body 5 times before I was satisfied with this one. Stay safe and keep on brickin.

Quoting Clayton Marchetti Interesting tactic, but I think Wedge and Rogue squadron would get him :-) great moc. Iíve also been reading a lot of the Star Wars novels since Disney destroyed the franchise. I really love the Thrawn series that Timothy Zahn has done.
Thanks for the like and great comment Clayton. Yeah, Disney really did a real butcher job on the most iconic space franchise of all time. I agree the Rogues or Wraith Squadrons would have gotten around this kneeling tactic, but it is the consequences of revealing the fatal flaw of the AT-AT to Col. Veers and the results thereafter that make this story so special. Have a great week and keep on brickin my friend.
