This is my custom LEGO 727-200 painted in the Southwest Airlines ‘desert’ livery. This took about 3 months to build and another 2 months to upload to mocpages ;) This model measures about 3 ft long and 2 1/2 ft in wingspan. It does have fully functioning and motorized airstairs and a full interior. Those of you who follow me on Flickr would have seen this a while back but I thought I would put tit up here as well.
About this creation
The 727-200 is the larger variant of the 727 series and is basically a stretched out 737 with different engines/ tail assembly and a different wing design. I would say this plane has around 3000 - 4000 parts in it though I can’t be certain. This does have a fully functioning airstairs in the tail and of course a fully detailed interior. I tried to put as much detail on the inside and outside as I could.
The cockpit was a tricky part of this model due to the limited space.
Wow! You really nailed the shape of the wings and fuselage, and still managed to fit a cockpit in that nose! Really love the look of the old 3-engine plane, especially with the tan paint job. Making a DC-10 next?
