Hey everyone! Here's the ninth MOC in my military history series! This is the second WWII MOC, but unlike the North Africa creation, it has been altered since when I posted it on the old Lego Gallery. The Eastern Front, specifically a Russian city based on Stalingrad, is shown in this build. I say based on Stalingrad because it's not exactly historically accurate to the actual city, but it is inspired by the city and the battle that took place there. Here are the descriptions of the pictures:
At the front of the MOC, you can see the interior of a German-controlled building. One Russian is trying to enter what remains of the structure, and is engaged in hand-to-hand combat with a German officer. Behind him, another Russian is advancing towards German troops on the road. In the middle of the picture, the Soviet flag can be seen flying from the corner of a Russian-controlled building. Up above the damaged street, snipers are facing off on the rooftops.
The right side of the MOC shows another angle of the German building, and you can see the machine gunner standing precariously on top of a stool to have a firing position out of a whole in the wall. Outside, another German is firing into the Soviet building, which houses a Russian heavy machine gun. Off to the right are three statues, only one of which is still standing.
Over on the left side of the build, an explosion, likely caused by a hand grenade, takes center stage. Behind it, a German soldier is taking aim at the Russian who is moving down the street. To the left is the Soviet-controlled building, where a heavy machine gun and two dogs strapped with military equipment are located.
At the back, the interior of the Soviet building is visible from another angle. The statues can be seen from behind, and further back the German machine gunner is leaning out of the building to try and find a target. Both buildings, along with the road and the statues, are heavily damaged from continuous street fighting, bombing raids, and artillery strikes.
That's all for this MOC! Stay tuned for number ten next week!
Hope you like it! Please tell me what you think in the comments!
