Goel Center
About this creation
The David E. and Stacey L. Goel Center for Theater and Dance at Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, NH.

This build is a gift to my classmate, David, and his wife, Stacey, on the one year anniversary of the Goel Center. It will be on display in the lobby for the remainder of the academic year.

A few years ago my friend Dave Kaleta was commissioned by the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools to build a replica of the Gordon Parks Arts Hall as a gift for George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson. With that in mind, I figured I’d give architecture a try.

If you're in the Seacoast region, stop by and check it out!

Quoting Oliver Becker Very, very nice, Bart! It's great you're a cemetery gardener here, too!? It's a good job, I believe! ;)

Quoting Clayton Marchetti Amazing texturing. I get bleary eyed just thinking about giving every piece a slight twist. It makes my OCD kick in ha ha ha. Beautiful work El Barto!
Not to mention the whole building being crooked! Thanks, Clayton!

Thanks, Nick! A building designed with a purpose, for sure.

Quoting Stuart Lucas This is a change of subject for you, but still executed with outstanding attention to detail! Great use of angles, and lining up all those very slightly offset plates? A work of great dedication, I'm sure your friends really appreciate it.
Thanks, Stu! As you can see in the side-by-side, the actual building is offset from the road and sidewalk, pretty much exactly as the medium wing plate.

Quoting Parrington Levens Haha, bleak but very well done. The kind of head quarters one might expect in 1984 lol...
Yeah, with a Robocop patrolling the perimeter. Thanks, Dude!
