Kronstadt class cruiser, 1:200 scale
Soviet ASW-cruiser Kronstadt, pr.1134A "Berkut-A" (NATO designation - Kresta II class), 1:200 scale, LDD+PovRay. 1590 bricks, 107 studs long.
About this creation

LEGO warship

Soviet ocean antisubmarine hunter.

Many believe these ships are among the most beautiful in the world. I agree with this - the appearance of this ship combines the swiftness and power of the nuclear missile age with the grace of the sailing era.

This ship Soviet shipbuilders managed to realize all their dreams. He was finally formed part of electronic and missile systems base which was a powerful SAMs "Storm", designed also to defeat surface targets. Based on the experience of operation previous projects have improved conditions for placing ASW helicopter.

The transition to the construction of a model on a larger scale allowed me to make a high rising bow of the ship.

POV-Ray render.

Full hull version.

Compare with 1:350 scale and 1:700 scale models.

High resolution render

Quoting Darth Designer I like how your designs are always so detailed even if on this small scale. I'm getting addicted to it and maybe I'll try in the future the same with the US arleigh burke class :D
Thanks for the praise! It will be very interesting to take a look at your Arleigh Burke!

Quoting BATOH rossi as Gabor I am impressed by the result you have achieved with the bow-tilted bridge ... I tried to do it on the Maestrale, but I had to give up. you again passed yourself my friend!
Thank You, My Friend! First you have to build the Maestrale on a scale of 1: 200))) The technology for manufacturing a curved bow is quite simple. The main elements are visible in the last image in high resolution. But on a scale of 1: 350, the result may not live up to expectations.

Quoting Gabor Pauler Rising the bow could be a big fight with bricks. Can I ask how much trial versions you made for that? By the way, I am working on something with a rising bow in scale 1:10 (not 1:100, it was not mispelling). I hope you can see that by the end of the year...
Thank You, Gabor! You're right. If you look at my early models, you can see countless attempts to make realistic ship hulls))) This time everything worked out the first time. I borrowed the idea in Flickr, but the implementation is my own.

Quoting Sven ;o) This is such a great model with so many nice details and buildung techniques used. Any chance for a realization in real bricks some day? Would be really cool.
Thank You, Sven! Yes, it would be cool))) But too many details will be required ... In addition, I have not yet reworked the model for rebuilding from real details. On a scale of 1: 200, Iíll probably build something smaller from real bricks ó for example, a frigate pr.1135. Now Iím just about to improve the virtual model.
