On 28-Jan 2008, the LEGO brick celebrated its 50th birthday.
About this creation
50 years ago, the 2x4 LEGO brick was born. In honor of the momentous occasion, Sean used LEGO bricks to build something that looked like a cake that looked something like a LEGO brick. It made sense at the time.
Sean baked the LEGO cake too long, because it was very crunchy. Sean's dentist is happy about this.
It seems odd that, although Sean has been building and playing with LEGO bricks for 30 years, that the LEGO brick itself is even two decades older than that. It's like a grandparent... or perhaps more like that weird uncle that brings fruitcakes on Thanksgiving.
Make a wish! I wish for 50 more years of LEGO bricks.
ah,I remember this!google had some special drawing on their homepage, but that was before I joined mocpages..........ah,good times, good times.oh,and way to go on all the detail,if you squint,it looks real!
Yessir, one can never have enough ABS in his diet. Well done, Sean! And happy 50th to Lego!! Unfortunately, I'll never be able to adequately return the lifelong gift of joy this relatively simple toy has given me.
Nice! You can't get more orginal than a Lego cake. And with this I say... HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEGO!!!! The cake itself is awsome. I like the cake sliced out of the cake. But I like how you used the dragon wing for the flame. Yay dragons!
