Kamov KaUH-415Y "Husky Warrior"
Upgraded Husky used by all branches in the Eurusian Army.
About this creation
Kamov KaUH-415Y "Husky Warrior"

After the Ka-80s were withdrawn from service due to severe reliability problems, the Eurusian Army was in dire need of a new utility helicopter. The KaUH-415 had proven to be very popular among the soldiers in the Special Forces, but the Husky was just too small for the regular Army’s needs. Wanting to recover as fast as possible from the Ka-80 flop, the Kamov design bureau proposed an upgraded version of the faithful old Husky, the KaUH-415Y “Husky Warrior”.

The 415Y has increased in both size and engine power. With a 50% increase in carrying capacity, more powerful engines and better range than the KaUH-415, it is well suited for the Army. The Husky Warrior also sports the latest in avionics making it well equipped for the modern battlefield. Advanced electronic warfare self protection (EWSP) suite, and ballistically hardened components protect it from a broad range of modern threat weapons. Self-sealing fuel tanks reduce the risk of fire during a crash, increasing crew and passenger survivability. The airframe itself has also been strengthened to withstand high G loads during tactical and evasive maneuvers.

The KaUH-415Y has also significantly increased firepower, hence the name “Husky Warrior”. The 415Y is capable of carrying AT-missiles, free-flight rocket pods, or two door-mounted 7.62 miniguns operated by the passengers.

Deliveries to the Eurusian Army began as soon as production commenced, and the first squadron equipped with the 415Y was sent to support the Eurusian Task Force fighting alongside UCF and U.S. forces in the Middle-East. After the Husky Warrior had proven to be a very capable helicopter in the field, orders came in for 415Ys to the Special Forces as well, replacing their aging fleet of KaUH-415s.

Specification for Kamov KaUH-415Y “Husky Warrior”:

  • Type: Medium lift utility helicopter

  • Accommodation: 1 pilot, up to 6 passengers

  • Engine: 2x Klimov TV4-302VH turboshafts

  • Top speed: 286 km/t (178 mph)

  • Empty weight: 2368 kg (5220 lbs)

  • Armament: Guided Anti-Tank missiles, free-flight rocket pods, door mounted 7.62mm machine guns, 7.62mm miniguns.
  • Status: In service

  • Operators: Army, SPEAR commandos, STAB Spec-Ops

  • More powerful engines as well as four bladed rotors give the 415Y better speed and carrying capability.

With a larger passenger compartment, the Husky can carry up to six troops or cargo.

The flight controls have also been given an overhaul.

A S.T.A.B. Spec-Ops team is getting ready to go.

A Husky Warrior is hot dropping off a team of commandos near Al-Dabir.

The 415Y can carry a variety of different weapons, shown here is a Husky Warrior equipped with door mounted 7.62 miniguns.

And here is another 415Y equipped with the 7.62mm heavy machine guns.

Very good chopper, I particularly like the apply of the window and the "iron bar" that divides it. The whole thing also looks pretty massive, which I like a lot. Good job! Check out my cargo plane if you´d like! Steffen

i like this version better than the first simply because of the major role it would play in a modern army such as yours. I like the large engines you built
