A traditional house at Christmas with carol singers at the door. This house is Cafe Corner Compatible, and was built for a Brickish Association Christmas competition.
About this creation
There are three lights inside the building, and two poking through the wall behind the lanterns either side of the front door.
The coloured glass panel over the door is made by mounting three magnifying glasses in front of a trans clear brick.
One challenge was making traditional wrought iron railings that would curve up the sides of the broad flight of steps. This method of cones on flagpoles doesn't look much like a fence when seen close to, but I think it is very effective seen from a distance.
The front door is much larger than LEGO doors, but is much more in keeping with this type of house. I am very pleased with the brass knob and letterbox.
Great! I like very much details of architecture: The bricks, the railings, the balconies, the lampposts, and, of course, the door. The only unfavorable point is the quality of the photos. But in this occasion I will not lower a point the note for it ^^
