Fokker Dr.1
About this creation

This is my lego version of the fokker dr1 triplane..........please review thanks

A brief history of the Fokker DR.1

The Fokker Dr. I (triplane) was a World War 1 fighter designed by a man named Reinhold Platz and built by the german aircraft company called Fokker. The first two fokkers were sent to the front lines in late August 1917 for evaluation. The planes were evaluated and made famous by world war one aces Manfred von Richthofen also known as The Red Baron, and german ace Werner Voss. However both pilots were shot down and killed, while flying there DR.1s.

Very nice job. Color, and just whole look of it is great. I built one, though not so good and in tan, but you might check it out. Only one thing about yours, do you have the guns on it? Besides that, awesome.

As said, there's room for improvement, but a nice model nonetheless. Might have to try my hand at some of these sometime... Nice job! -- -- Michael

David, great start. You take a look at Ben's WW1 galleries on Brickshelf for so refinement ideas. He has a Fokker D7 and Sopwith. Another great builder is at Ben's models are also in LCAD (or MLCAD).

... The wings are poor, color are OK, minifig are excellent, detail is null, stickers are bad, very bad, illumination is good, but marbble bottom are horrible

This a pretty decent minifig Fokker, the struts and prop could use some work though. There are lego propellers intended for airplanes, and certain window pieces make great struts. But if you don't have any you did a good job of making up for it. :)
