Gurdian Class Rocket Fighter
About this creation
Preface: This creation is meant to (some how) along with others fit in with the Eastern Block/Iron Reich/Jade Empire themes (hope that’s not too presumptuous of me) and to do this I invented my own faction the “Galactic Federation” meant to represent the last of western civilization or something like that… Any way that’s about it.

The Guardian IV was the result of my wanting to find a use for the Rock Raider type light up laser so here are the technical specs.

Weapons: 1 Type 05 Field Artillery Laser mounted externally.

Engine: 1 redesigned Gladiator XI ICBM liquid fueled engine.

Armor: fuselage 3 inches alloy ½ inch heat resistant ceramic
Wings 2 inches alloy ¾ inch heat resistant ceramic
Laser 2 inches alloy ½ inch heat resistant ceramic

Landing gear: anti-grav parachute for planetary landings guided by tractor beam for capital ship and space station landings.

Shields: none

Description: the guardian series fighters were designed to act as large vessel interceptors, and to do this they use nothing less than a small artillery piece! Running of its own reactor the laser is used to overload shields and gouge holes in the weak points in a ship’s hull. Their strategy is simple the first wave blow out the shields by keeping there lasers on them constantly eventually forcing them to either shut down or overload. The second wave go for any anti-fighter emplacements then the third wave go after the now exposed hull (a favorite trick is to use a concentrated attack melt holes in a Kalashinkov’s large bridge windows after the shields are down).
