Cyborg Raceship "Crystal ship"
She's very flexible...
About this creation
('Crystal Ship' by the Doors. If you don't like the Doors then there's 'Crystal' by both Elton John or New Order).

Story: One of the few female racers, Crystal is one of the more unusual cyborgs. Her mind has been downloaded into a sapphire crystal matrix and instead of a conventional engine, she uses tractor beams arranged on numerous 'arms' to fly. She effectively 'grabs' any nearby object and draws herself toward it whilst preparing to grab another object to move toward (somewhat like Spiderman swinging from building to building on his web). Thus she gracefully makes her way thru the asteroid race circuit. It's been alledged that Crystal has on occasion, deliberatly "thrown" small asteroid debris at other racers, but nothing has been proven so far. Also, she also seems to have a mysterious power over men, with many male fans following her and obediantly doing her bidding...

Build: My first purple bricks! Yay! Is there any COOLER colour combo than black and purple? Look at Skywarp people! I've wanted to make something like this for AGES! I love the beauty of crystals and I've wanted to do an acicular design for a while. Originally I wanted to build in all trans-clear but Lego doesn't make every brick in a clear version (dammit).

To increase speed toward an object, she concentrates her tractor beams arms at it.

If she loses several arms from damage she is still albe to fly on her redundant arms (although not quite as fast)

This shot looks like LDraw or something.

Like a spider, she can flatten her body to squeeze past narrow obstacles.

Crystal's attendent and loyal fans. "No, sorry, Crystal can't do an interview now; she has a mechanical massage booked. Good day! What's that my sweet, no, your chassis doesn't look big in those fenders..."

This is excellent. you've probably heard that a million times, but what's once more, right? Anywho, I really like the unconventional shape you've taken here, making your ship look less like a ship while still being a ship (if that makes any sense at all). The fact that this ship has no clear front or back, leaving a lot to the imagination, makes it one of my favourite creations on here.

"She's very flexible?" You're just BEGGING for my signature bad jokes and puns now aren't you? Well, your not gonna get it! No sir! not a chance in... about as flexible as YOUR M... (Had to type it like that cause of the censoring system, but you get the idea). Thanks for a nice little racer! Keep 'em coming, like with the "hot friends"... Later ~ Chris.

Very good. And to Scrooge below: You seemed to have missed the point of 'Cyborg' racer. Or did you not read the description?

She sounds... physically interesting. I'll enjoy watching her OWNING at the next cyborg asteroid race. Good day

This is crazy. You wanna know something else crazy, I once had a pet rat who was the reincarnation of Jim Morrison. That was my theory anyway, he may have just been a big Doors fan. Whenever we put in a Doors CD he'd want to come out of his cage and play, and we never noticed him as responsive to any other music. True story.

She would have a problem if she was in first place and there were no objects to grab onto in the emptiness of space. It's a very interesting design, anyway. Tell us more about your inspiration picture.
