After realising they had a casulty rate of 74.193% among its walker drivers due too sniper fire the UPA decided to launch the second generation of attack mechs. with increased armour ,weaponry and mobility they signified a turning point in UPA military history.
One of the first mechs produced is the 'ASP' . built primarily too replace the redundant 'SPIDER' scout walker whos driver casulty rate exceeded 50 % .
1 light autocannon
Armed with one light autocannon for anti-infantry and mech duties . it has a cockpit surrounded with thermo-plastisteel to protect against most enemy weaponry. also it feature a comms array on it back .
the ASPs main feature is its speed . it can reach 60 mph at full sprint and has a gyro-stabilisation system to prevent it falling and loss of accuracy whilst moving.
it serves well in all terrain except desert as its added wieght and smaller claws make it sink. it excels in urban environments and is often used in squadrons of up to 8 mechs that sweep in patrols.
