Z-16 Superiority Fighter
A fast and agile fighter used by the Black Phoenix Consortium for planetary defense, that is also very maneuverable in space. It is armed with 2 missile launchers and 2 laser cannons. Two more can be added, but are not in the original specs. Typical flying pattern includes four, but can be increased to six when an extra punch is needed.
About this creation
This angle shows the ion engine (found on most tie fighters) that was chosen to power the Z-16. The engine allows for greater speed than that of a Tie Interceptor. The fins on the back also add to the handling in the atmoshpere. The Z-16 is usually sent in swarms of about 10 squads.

An underbelly shot, showing the laser cannon and missile launcher placement. There is a set of each under both wings, and each launcher holds a magazine of five torpedos. The wing pattern can allow it to glide for a while in the atmosphere if necessary, but since it obviously cuts speed, this feature is only used when the Z-16 is close to running out of fuel.

A side angle, showing the sleek design, a feature that I usually have to much trouble with. In the upgraded versions, another duo of laser cannons is added on to the sides of the cockpit, but the modification pieces are hard to come by, so very few of the Z-16's have been upgraded.
