U.S.S.S. Discovery
The U.S.S.S. Discovery from 2001: A Space Odyssey
About this creation
This my model of the U.S.S.S. Discovery, the ship from 2001: A Space Odyssey that went to Jupiter. It's a little out of scale. The spherical part should be a little bigger. My original plan was to make it two times as big, but I realized I wouldn't be able to build the sphere that big and if I tried to it would come out really bad. Anyway, I really didn't know how to build one. So with the sphere in The Ultimate Lego Book reference, I just started building. I was worried how to build the long part until I realized I could just use those bridge beams from that bridge building accessory bulk pack that (I think) you can still get.

Yours is very clever, I'm making one too, so keep an eye out for when I post it.
