The Arquebusier is a space fighter developed for the destruction of frigates, cruisers and other large space vessels. It has a big gun. 'Nuff said. (the name arquebusier comes from the medievel precursor to the musket. these weapons were deadly, unpredictable, and dangerous. Seemed a fitting name for a giant, space-faring gun.)
Count 'em, not one, but TWO WHOLE digger shovels were used in the making of this MOC.
I like how the wings wrap around these shovels.
I really like how this part turned out. The SNOT sandwich technology used here (and throughout the MOC) enables these mudguards to wrap around the main gun.
Yeah, that's right, just try and figure out how I attached these shovels.
Notice how the slopes envelope the engine cone
The delicate underbelly of the savage beast
A solid mound of bricks? I think not.
GAZE UPON THE GLORY OF THE UNFOLDED AWESOMENESS WHICH IS THE PRIMARY SENSOR SUITE!
Bricks removed so you may see the inner workings of this little guy
When asked what struck him about this machine, the pilot replied:
"well it certainly is...uhh...cozy in here."
Railgun (although I'd prefer to call it a "coilgun", Railgun is more widly recognized.)
"BUT WAIT! CALL RIGHT NOW AND WE'LL THROW IN THE LIFEBOAT FOR FREE! A WHOPPING THREE DOLLAR VALUE YOURS FREE!"
"THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS! YOU GET IT ALL! THE ARQUEBUSIER, THE OPTIONAL RAILGUN AND MISSILE POD PACKAGES, AND THE LIFEBOAT, FOR ONLY 19.95 BILLION DOLLARS!"
More nonsense. I remind you to please review and I will visit your page. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed.
Gah! Why are there so many great new(ish) MOCs I miss!? Well, this is excellent, especially the sleek design and studlessness of it. The false advertising pitch is a good idea, too. Also, I happen to quite like early forms of weaponry; so the name is very catchy. Perhaps a twin-barreled one could be a volley-gun, "Queen Anne" type, maybe? Or a wide-bore variation "Blunderbuss"? I don't know... just throwing it out there... Anyway, great MOC!
Nice name, even nicer is the model itself. The lack of windows makes it look very heavily armoured and brutal, is this thing designed to ram other vessels? Great job, check out mine when you got time will you?
Great creative shape and construction technique -- those wheel rims are great, I got 6 of them and have used up 4 so far. I love all of the cool extra features -- extending sensor heads, optional weapons packages... this ship has it all.
Wow, that's very unique. In a good way though. I like how I have no clue how a lot of the elements are held together. It's beefy the way a space craft should be. You see too many flimsy little things that you know in reality would vaporize from the slightest hit in battle.
Well you have me impressed. It's an interesting design though like someone said I think the main nose gun could be worked on a bit more, but the rail-gun is nice and detailed (and actually looks like a rail-gun).
The name fits the fighter very well. It's large, crude, and destructive. The construction is very nice as well, even though it looks like a solid block of plastic, it actually has a lot of unique angles and features.
AWESOME !!! I think it's the most exciting spaceship I've seen since a long time ! Everything here seems to be in the right place, it's absolutely perfect ! Great color scheme, perfect shape , and a lot of original and enjoyable ideas - Fantastic MOC !!!
