A-14 "Sledgehammer" Tank-hunter
an air-to-ground fighter, mainly built for tank-hunting. While its official name is the Sledgehammer, most pilots affectionately call it the "sledge." It can attack all sorts of ground targets, but primarily is built for taking out tanks, armored vehicles, and in some cases, attacking convoys.
About this creation
and overall view of the Sledgehammer. A good view of the wings, the cockpit, the distinct V-tail, and the under-wing weaponry.

This angle is a great view of the engine exhaust nozzles. The Sledge uses a limited thrust vectoring system to increase maneuverability, especially with the roll rate of the plane.

No real purpose to this shot, it just looks cool, and you can see how it "lands" (at least until i think of some way to make landing gear)

A better view of the weaponry. The Sledge can carry 4 Scorpid rocket pods, the same rockets as the Linebacker. Scorpid rockets are unguided, high-speed, Shaped-charge rockets that come 3 to a tube. Highly effective against all kinds of armored vehicles. For the really hard targets, the inboard hardpoints can each carry an AGM-15 Slammer air-to-ground missiles. the Slammer is most often equipped with a standard HE warhead, but can also be modified with a Shaped-charge warhead, or a cluster munition dispenser, which works much like a cluster bomb but can be fired from long distances.

The cockpit. Look familiar? if no, go look at my LineBacker, then come back again. if yes, i'll tell you a secret. First, I'd like to say that the majority of the time that i have nothing to do (which is a lot, actually) i spend fiddling with current lego models. this model actually began as the linebacker i posted earlier (starting to see some other similarities now?). Over the course of several months, the old linebacker was practically stripped down, then rebuilt (i actually improved the basic structure a bunch, its a lot sturdier now). So yes, this is technically just a modification of a previous model. but i think that its different enough to call it a new MOC. anyways, thats the story behind that.

With that, I bid you farewell until the next MOC. See you all later, and don't forget to leave comments!

Microscale fighters are hard to build, but this is amazing. I like your use of lightsaber hilts and darts as weapons, and the engine exhaust pieces are incredible -- I have no idea how you made them. Great job!

Well made! I love the look of it. Reminds me a tiny bit of a 40k ork bomma.
