Here's my first real-life 4-wide car. It's a Caparo T1. Thomas Nuņez and I were talking one day and he brought up building one of these. I tried my hands at it and this is what I came up with. By the way, these are the first pictures taken on my new camera! I would show you it, but I don't have my old camera to take a pic of the new one. Please comment!
About this creation
Here's a video review of the Caparo to set the mood. Keep in mind that they're driving a prototype version, so minor design details are different than the production model I built.
Here's the back. Caparo ditched the wing-mounted tailights and the open canopy, and replaced them with a Formula One style brake light and a full cockpit on the final version.
I tried as hard as I could to get the fenders to "float" behind the front wheels like the real one, but everyone knows that's almost impossible with a 4-wde car. I also wish the fenders weren't flush with the body. But offsetting it would be way too hard.
Thanks for the review! What can I say, I enjoy classic Lego...But the new 4-wides are definitely very intriguing in design. I especially like this moc and it's very true to the real car, even on such a small scale! Very nice:)
