This guard house was built for Eggplant island (as was a lot of other stuff) but unfortunately didn't make the final cut. I like some of the design aspects of it, so didn't want that to goto waste.
The first shot is in the backyard with my grapes. The building is a hexagon.
Hexagon roofs aren't too easy to come by, so this is the roof I copied from some of things I've seen. It has some cheese to fill in the corners. The roof is actually a real pain because it takes some balancing. I probably had to put it on 10 times to get these photos.
I think that this would make a good toilet paper cover for the john.
On the castle gate posting, I had a couple photos of how the connections work with the different pieces.
Clarification: Cheese refers to the new cheese wedge lego piece. Snot and Cheese baby, Snot and Cheese.
This is really lovely - the shape and colors are so elegant! Those new little "cheese" pieces are proving useful for all sorts of things, and I notice that they are showing up in different colors in lots of different sets. I hadn't thought about using them the way that you do here, but it really works well!
Did you say "cheese" to fill in the corners? I was wondering what that smell was. Nice work my friend. I can't wait to see what the guys inside get up to on the overnight shift when the boss isn't around! ~ Chris.
