Now, I don't mind any bad ratings here as this one was just a complete joke anyway...
Like many of the crazy ideas I have I randomly thought "hey, why don't I make a lego ET ?" .
So I did.
Keeping in mind that I've used all my good lego bits on my three big cars (I don't take that sort of thing apart I just keep em), I was quite limited to making ET red. I suppose that's the nearest to brown anyway.
He was only made over a couple of days; made around the beginning of 2008.
I didn't try to accurately copy ET, I just tried to make the rough shape of him.
I did, on the other hand, try and make some moving bits ; his arms move in every direction, his fingers have limited movement (and his finger has thenearest I could get to a light) , his head turns, and (using the mechanism from a forklift truck set) his neck goes up and down just like the real ET.
Now, for the best/stupidest bit, remember in the film how funny he looks when he's scared and runs away ?
Well, mine looks like that too - his arms can go up and flail around all over the place, his neck goes up and sways from side to side - all you need is some sound effects lol...
P.S. If you are looking to buy lego for your creations, I would like to recommend the following Bricklink lego shop ; "About Town, Castle & Train" ( http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=stacey_love )
I personally know the shopholders, and they are very nice, devoted people. They are currently sponsoring 100% of my 1/3 Lamborghini project, providing all of the parts; and have made various other donations to other models I have made.
The store has a wide selection of parts (over 600,000!), at good prices, and offer an exceptional, fast service (no tax or dodgy exchange rates, next day postage, etc). you won't be disappointed !
