This is my first attempt at a car. Most of my vehicles are based off trucks as I like how their larger size allows for more detail. I keep seeing lego racer size tuner cars showing up on this site, but wanted something that was minifig scale for my town. I was thinking of making some classic 4 wide cars then i saw the work of Ralph Savelsberg... some amazing 5 WIDE vehicles!
Building in 5 wide has many challenges but for my first car I think it turned out alright. This is suppose to represent the subaru impreza. Please leave me some comments, feedback, or suggestions.
I think you did a really good job on this one. The five stud width looks really good for Lego Town, I like it. The only bad thing is that it still doesnīt allow a second person next to the driver - unless itīs a cabrio like in some of the Indiana Jones original sets for instance. For the good of integration into Lego town layouts, I think itīs necessary to make this compromise (just one minifig). And it doesnīt really affect the fun while playing. For trucks, though, 6-to-7 studs is the perfect width in my opinion... Grüße aus Deutschland, Steffen
