Poor Richard's Rock
A poor man's floating rock. A very poor man's floating rock. He's so poor that he can't pay for the stamps to file for welfare. For that matter, he doesn't know what a stamp is.
About this creation
I see you visitors. Why do you not comment? Visotors who do not comment or rate creations make Poor Richard thirsty, and he's too poor to buy Snapple.

I hope you will forgive me for the sideways-ness of this picture. Not all things in life are correctly positioned. Or is it that Richard is so poor that he cannot pay for his gravity bill and the rock is floating aimlessly?

Richard pays for his few expenses by selling herbal remedies. Extract of urushiol, anyone?

That mug isn't crystal. He pulled it off the municipal scrap heap for free. However, plastic does have an amazing ability to not disappear.

Richard does have an outhouse, with a sink water fountain. His rifle is a plastic children's toy, carefully painted, and his parrot is a painted pigeon.

His sheets are sackcloth, the wallsafe made by Hasbro, and the grey fire extinguisher made in China.

However, his toilet doesn't have to flush. It just drops straight down. This is an outhouse, remember?

His custom fireplace, carefully aged antique cast iron pot, a cudgel, wrench, bucket, and flashlight. The bucket doubles as a mailbox, when it isn't raining.

Forgot to pay the gravity bill again. I gave him money so he could pay, just for this photo shoot, but I guess he spent it on booze. This ladder, besides being used to get on and off of the rock, also holds his storage kegs. No one knows what's in them, and no one wants to know.

This cellar was the hardest part of the buiild, getting it to interface with the rock (which is hollow inside), and getting the door not to fall in. I don't have anything in the cellar, but maybe there's a frog in there. If you go down to look, good luck getting out, since the ladder only comes down to your shoulders. Perhaps you can grab the strap of my camera to pull yourself out.

Comments and constructive criticism gladly accepted. For those of you who want to build your own floating rock, look around on Mocpages, or look at my comment on the comments section of Sebeus Iniwum's Mustafar page.
Thanks for dropping by.

I'd just like to tell you all that I didn't have any figures at the place where I built it, and so, alas and alack, no Poor Richard. Net time, the rock will be bigger, mabye to the point where I can put a decent-sized Shroom on it.

Very cool! Although I never quite understood the steampunk MOCs of floating land masses. Anyway, really nice work, although Richard himself is nowhere to be seen. I love the detail of everything, like the safe. It looks like Richard would hit his head on it when he gets up. And, as for lack of comments, I feel your pain. Just look at some of my stuff and you'll see that some still don't have ratings, despite them being posted over a week ago.
