I have nothing to say about this pic, so I will use this space to randomly insult my viewers. If you think my wall looks Halloween-ish in theme, you are a weiner. While the conclusion could be drawn that since the number (33) came from a Smashing Pumpkins' song, and pumpkins personify (?personify?) Halloween.. well.. no. You are still a weiner my friend.
You would think designing these doors was easy. Far from. This took me the most time out of all. I tinkered with several designs but this is the only one that would work for me. The technic gears dont turn, they just go from side to side, opening and closing the doors.
Well picking the number was hard. Keith took the three good ones. I was listening to Smashing Pumpkins and on comes the song Thirty-Three. Perfect. I considered other SP songs too: "1979" (But that was too much like a year) "XYU", "Zero" (Station Zero?), and "The Aeroplane Flies High, Turns Left, Looks Right." Trust me, it was a close decision.
Apparently I'm using (for my enemy) the same army that another Reich ally (I think the guy that built the chain-gun tank) uses for his army. This is a confliction, but I have solved it already. His men wear black visors. Mine use neon-green. Works perfectly.
Absolutely pwnage. Too bad to think the PCS turns it into a tarmac. Oh well, it was cool while it lasted. The fighters and the mech look kind of out of place, but they're nice too. The mech reminds me of a Cougar from Battletech - and they're one of my favorite mechs. So awesome job!
I'm a big fan of Keith's diorama's, but it takes him so long to build, I hate the wait between his creations. So I'm always hoping other builders will adopt his style of building and posting. I'd say this is a great start--you've got good color discipline, a nice variety of vehicles and installations, interesting little details and some witty captions. The mech construction is pretty basic, but I think it looks good, sort of similar to the Supernova from the Mechwarrior III video game. Keep working and getting better! And let that mech out the front gate, that ought to take care of your little Blacktron II problem.
These battle scenes are extremely hard to put together. It is one of the best futuristic battle scenes I have seen. Especially the mech. And those wasps are really anoying, they only come out if you turn on the heater.
