Between 1968 and 1976, Ferrari used the brand "Dino" (named after Alfredo, the early passed son of Enzo Ferrari)to market cars with less than 12 cylinders. By using components from other vehicles and smaller engines it was the attempt to get into new market segments, making the "Dinos" kind of a "starter model". However, after 1976 the "Dino" name was quit and the smaller engined models received the "genuine Ferrari" branding.
During the last two years rumors grew up that Ferrari was up to built a new Dino. The rumors were negated by Ferrari officials but - a few weeks ago - a brand new model was presented: the Ferrari California (see the official website at Ferrari California ), a front-mid engined V-8 with retractable hardtop.
My MOC presents a fictional interpretation of the "Nuovo Dino", which was built before the new California was presented.

I hope you like my MOC and drop a review ;-). For more photos have a look at the "Nuovo Dino" at Brickshelf or at our still developing website Scuderia Gearing
Nice interpretation. The new 458 Italia is great but I think it's a shame if Ferrari don't build something slightly attainable - like the old 308s. They shouldn't let Porsche and co. have it all their way... btw thanks for the comment - I like that you can appreciate slow cars too!

very nice man, i'm now building a chevy silverado and the next project will be one of the ferrari rivals... gallardo, but i don't know about this moc i think it deserves more than 3/5.. so i doubt about the rating thing here, any way the creation it self talks not the rating level,.. peace.. fofo..
