Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny meet Nevile and his formidable Grandmother in The Janus Thickey Ward.
About this creation
Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Alice Longbottom, Agusta Longbottom, Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Neville's "Gran" has a vulture on her hat. That dragon baby, Norbert, is playing the vulture. I know he's not doing the best job but he's pretty young yet. I think he'll do a better job as he gets older.
This is one of my favorite scenes from all seven Harry Potter books. It's the first time we meet Neville's grandmother. I like Agusta "Gran" Longbottom. She's what she calls the Weasley family, "Fine People." She will return in the last book, turning up to fight at the Final Battle at Hogwarts. It's from her that Harry's friends find out the sad truth behind Neville being raised by his grandmother. His parents aren't dead, they were tortured to insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange. This is the moment in the book when Alice, Nevill's mom, comes over, and not saying anything shyly hands him a Dooble's gum wrapper. Gran tells Neville to toss it out, she's given him so many, but he secretly slips the wrapper into his pocket.
The reason the group find out about Neville's parents is Harry's old teacher Gilderoy Lockhart. After he tried, and failed epically, to modify Harry and Ron's memories in the second book Lockhart has been a resident of The Janus Thickey Ward for permanent spell damage. He still likes to give out autographs and when the healer invites the kids into the ward Lockhart thinks they need several dozen for all their little friends. Sadly they get interrupted by Neville's arrival and Lockhart is forgotten. He breaks the long silence after Neville and his gran leave. "Look, I didn't learn joined-up writing for nothing, you know."
Here's a shot down the ward. The person in the closest bed on the left is Broderick Bode. He'll be killed soon. By that plant. The other bed on the back left is filled by Agnes, who's all covered with hair. I wish that werewolf head came in brown. At the far end behind the flowery curtains is Frank Longbottom, Neville's dad. He didn't feel like getting up.
This is bloody brilliant!!!!! I wish I could build like you! I would love to go over excellent if I could! I am a huge Harry Potter fan, and this is just like I had pictured it in my head when I was reading the book. Although, I have a slight different LEGO version of Ginny Weasley. Check her out if you like. She is one of my MOCs. Anyways, great, great, job.~Ginny
This is an outstanding LEGO Harry Potter creation! I like how everything fits so well together, the colorfull walls are a good choice for the Closed Ward. Althought I'm not fond of mixing yellow and fleshie, I like your figures. The vulture is a nice touch.

Now this is great. Really in line with the books, much more then the official harry potter sets (which i still like for the parts and the details they have). impressive build.
And one of my favorite scenes in the books, too.
Anything done with Harry Potter subjects is a win in my book! (I gotta try and find more time to do a couple!) Nice amount of space for the characters, and your tile work is excellent. Interesting that you choose to go so colorful. I pictured the ward darker and more organic (wood tones, etc), but I like your take on it. Maybe now you could build another room where they could treat Ron...I know he claims they're freckles, but I'm convinced it's spattergroit!
A MOC that makes me Happy, truly. Your sense of colors is at his best here ! The beds and the tiles on the floor are awesome. A beautiful scene, very nicely done. You don't make enough MOC Garth, we want more ! Great job !
