Lore: When the Soqed Hozi invasion began they fielded terrifying and mysterious weapons, their 'soldiers' were diverse and included not just themselves, but hundreds of creatures domesticated or manipulated to fight for the swarm. The Wahsi'Shedim are just one of many frightening organisms that perform a role similar to that of an AeroSpace vehicle. These migrators are silicon based lifeforms and can easily exist and travel in the cold vacuum of space. When the first Paladin starfighter squadrons went head to head with 'squids' as they've come to be known, the results where devastating. The Shedim produce no identifying signal, and therefore do not appear on any scanner systems or heads-up target displays, remaining effectively invisible unless detected manually, by the pilots own eyes. They attack by engulfing a ship with their tentacles and tearing it to pieces using brute strength, metal rending feelers, and their steel crunching beak. Their exoskeleton is dense yet pliable, allowing liquid like movement and blinding speed, it protects them from multiple laser cannon blasts and even entry into atmosphere.

At first it was thought the squids could only engage targets in space, but on several occasions the Shedim have chased craft into upper and lower atmosphere, the method in which they remain airborne is still a mystery. They posses several sets of external gills, but seem to function equally well in oxygenated and airless environments. In response to these creatures many starfighters have recently been outfitted with biological scanners, calibrated to detect silicon lifeforms, giving pilots the ability to at least track and recognize Shedim. A live specimen has yet to be captured, and only a handful of bodies have been discovered, all quickly claimed by top research organizations on both Colonial and Paladin sides, learning what they can and desperately searching for a weakness.

This is absolutely amazing! Very luminous, and gives a very stealthy -but dangerous- feel. I would be terrified to see something like that looming after me in the water.

This is one of the best Soqed Hozi design so far. I suppose you know that Shedim is a kind of Jewish demon.
