This is my latest update. Within the past 10 months I've been through bootcamp Marine Combat Training and the first steps to becoming a Aviation Ordnance Marine. With the knowledge I've gained about munitions the size of the cannons have been reduced by a factor of three: from 30mm to .50 caliber (1.5 inches to .5 inches in diameter).
This suit is designed to operate as a fire support or anti-aircraft unit. Effectiveness is increased when paired with Ninja Exoskeleton.
This Exo is state of the art. Featuring a medium range (20 miles) satellite uplink capable radar and communications, small yet powerful Apogee jump jets, Low focus Infrared Vision Jamming Laser, Firestorm Electric Launch Weapons (removing the need for heavy bolts and such components common to conventional weapons), caseless ammuntion (further reducing weight), wide dispersal smoke grenades, mounts for carrying additional ammunition, and a nose mounted ramming bar good for forced entries.
Ammo types include high explosive, armor piercing and incendiary.
This build was an attempt at attaching more greebles (a suggestion made for a few other builds). These greebles include: radar, comm antennae, ammo drums, additional ammo mounts, search lights (both nose mounted and back mounted for aerial targets), flash hiders, ramming bar apparatus, jump jets, additional storage bar, jamming laser (green), smoke grenades and heat vents.
Radar and communications, storage hook-on and jump jets
All those gun barrels sticking out make this thing look like a miniature chrome hound.
You're right, my Mathril does look similar to your Archer, but I think it's more because of the type of cannons we used. My differs a bit though, instead of each cannon having a magizine drum, each pair has one, and both cannons feed from the same drum at the same time. Pretty sweet exo you got here though. I pity the planes trying to cross a line of those.
This is awesome! you did an excellent job recreating an anti-air setup with the high angle quad cannons. The flash suppressor is a great idea for night ops too. Honestly, I think you build some of the best mid sized mechs on the site. Thanks for the great review of the Rapier. I think its probably my best moc yet but I'm always looking for better techniques and trying different stuff. I have actually built a racing version that I plan on posting with the mechs I told you about, along with a repost of my Heavy Mech Unit with more pics. I have to find a wifi hot spot first though (I should really just get internet at my house...). Thanks again! Peace - Patrick
