One of my favorite lego video games! Not to mention a pretty cool line of sets as well. Ogel, the mysterious evil genious bent on world domination...sound familar? Nonetheless he's a lego classic and a pretty sweet looking bad guy! So I figured he deserved his own tribute on mocpages. If anyone else has played the game, the fenced area where ogel is should look familar. Down beneath, a guard watches over as ogel's evil orbs are stored until later sent to his massive boggle rocket.

very nice tribute ... the shrine looks great ! ... btw, in regards to Darkshadow's comment - i had just recently discovered that fact about Ogel's name earlier today ... but i had always wondered to myself, what a strange name Ogel was, and if it had any meaning ... this link (below) is where i stumbled upon that "mystery" about Ogel's name.
man... i miss alpha team. i was like 6 when it came out. i think so im 13 sooooooooooooo yeah about six. and i remeber my first set of alpha team was dashes helicopter :P and yeah i loved the game although i hated the levels with the mirriors i loved this thnks for adding something that most of us should love to mocpages :P c ya ~~~~owen
Aaaahhhh...classics. I am in love with classic anything (movies, books, LEGO sets, ect.). I do remember Alpha Team, although I never bought a set. Johnny Thunder was my personal favorite line of sets (that and early-mid 90's sets)! This MOC was a great idea! C ya~ElNickre
ahhhh alpha team. i remember my dad bring the deep sea sets home from toronto for me. i use to play with them 24/7.BUT THEY RUINED IT WITH THOSE ICE ALPHA TEAM STUFF!!!! i never knew until this very day that there used to be alpha team that wasn't deep sea or theme ruining ice stuff.i never knew there was alpha team kinda like the new agents stuff.
By the way, to Kadzar or whatever your name was, they actually did introduce tons of new pieces. If you were old enough to remember the set themes before that (which I don't think you were), you will see that they introduced new minifig parts, new baseplates, new 'glass' parts, old parts, different colors, new unique parts. And those are just some of them.
Ah, what classic memories... The first Ogel base was the coolest thing ever back then. Unfortunetly I never got it. The Mission Deep Sea ones were ok. Luckily I got the Ogel base for that one, and back then, it was awesome. It was one of the first sets to get those numbers on their plastic packets so you knew what each packet was for. The Ice one is where they really ^&$#ed up though.
The first Alpha Team series rocked, but the underwater and ice kinda defiled it. I think the first series was the first in a long time which didn't introduce new parts (well, I guess there might have been a few, but it was hard to recognize which ones they were), which is a noteworthy accomplishment, as official set designers were actually trying to make something without taking shortcuts. Although they didn't introduce new parts, they came up with cool minifig printings (Dash probably has the best 6 o'clock shadow ever), and Cam's red hair piece is just a whole lota awesome; unfortunately, it seems I lost mine :(
