An enhanced version of my Clone Trooper Jungle Patrol. It has, as you can see, some figs from the LEGO Islanders #6278 Enchanted Island set posing as the remaining members of a dying tribe who have received help (an AT-AP and many clones) from the Republic to fight against two bounty hunters hired by the Separatists and some of their officials.
About this creation
A closer-to-the-ground view of the dense jungle baseplate. You can see the reed growing on each side of the river, and the 4 palm trees (I don’t have more, if not I would surely have added 3 or 4 to the grassy plains where the fighting takes place and 3 or 4 more to the jungle baseplate). Poor clone, the crocodile DOES look hungry and cunning… oh wait, he is receiving Palpatine’s evil ORDER 66!
What terrible fate awaits my two valiant custom Jedi masters on this battle? Will they eventually find themselves fighting both the bounty hunters and the many clones that were helping them a moment ago? The Old Republic crumbles down, and a new, evil order will arise…
A view of the dense jungle forest that gives way to the grassy plains. Some crystals grow on the rocks of this planet, there is a lost clone who probably doesn’t want to move with that crocodile lurking around him in the river, or maybe he should be fighting but is scared. On the left you can see my Heavy Speederbike (another of my recently-added MOCs on this folder) which some clone left there before the final skirmish against the few enemy troops that remain alive (two bounty hunters down, two still alive and kicking).
Part of the ruins, and the natives and clones in attack, with the AT-AP right behind them on the grassy plains. You can appreciate some of the detail in the ruins and the dead bounty hunter on the left, wiped out by the clone snipers.
The native tribesmen (LEGO Islanders) attacking side by side with the clones alongside with two custom Jedi masters: one has a custom head built out of three LEGO pieces I randomly picked up, the other is a regular yellow-handed Jedi minifig (e.g. Obi-Wan’s) with a headpiece from the LEGO #6584 Extreme Team Challenge set. I would have shown some of the custom figs I randomly created for this, but my camera ran out of battery and, anyways, the pics would be too blurry for any details to be seen. What you can “see” on the left side of the pic is part of a custom cannon which I shall be posting photos of in September with a new and hopefully better camera I am planning to buy personally in Hong Kong (again it would need much detail, since it scarcely doubles the size of a clone minifig).
A view of the unchanged legs of the AT-AP. As you can see, it is aiming upwards, presumably to some low-flying reinforcement ships for the CIS. Next to it, to the right, are two clones sniping from atop some ruins (it’s a pity the ruins are too blurry to be seen, because I put some work into them).
A view of my (scarcely, must I say) custom AT-AP, where you can see both the clone handling the one top cannon (I removed the other) and the native woman with her bow.
A native girl shooting her bow from the top deck of an AT-AP, next to the cannon that is being handled by a clone. As you can see, I removed the top “turning” cannon from the top of the AT-AP as I thought it didn’t look that good, and instead I redesigned the remaining cannon into its current shape. Also, I removed some of the annoying trans-pieces on the opening side doors.
Thanks for your comments and visits, but for those of you who are rating without leaving any comments, I would like to know why you are rating this creation so poorly (lately, the rating for this MOC has dropped some 2 to 2,5 smileys, and something similar has happened with some other creations of mine), so I invite you to participate freely and as much as you like, but please GIVE REASONS for rating, especially if there is something you believe can be improved.
Thanks again and Happy New Year to all of you.
t's a nice, big diorama. I like the redo of the cannon, and the trees. I know you prly don't have room to add heavy forest in the flatt part, but it would be cool if you added some more varried terrain with some flatish green pieces, and maybe a few bushes. It just looks like grass next to a small forest atm, but if you add some more foliage it will look more like the jungle floor. Nice diorama though.
