"First, we send in a chimp. If it is safe, we THINK about a pilot."
-some important guy in Planet of the Apes
The s-01 Robotic scout craft is made to go where it is too dangerous to send in a live scout. It charts its surroundings, and sends information back to its mother-ship via a kind of subspace communications system.
Space isn't a friendly place, even to robots without souls. thats why the s-01 is armed with light guns (and possibly the worst part of this MOC) for estremely light protection. the worst damage it could do is harassment.
The brain and eyes of the s-01. enough said.
Some random greeble. I think it was originally part of the subspace communications system, but the reciever(for instructions) kept falling off in the hostile environment of my room. so now the sending part is just a greeble. The s-01 still has a fully functional subspace communications system, but now I like to pretend it's burried deep in the bowls of the s-01. Additionally, I don't really know what they look like or how they work...
Wing-A-Lings. These don't do much save detect the pressence of matter and/or dark matter. If there is none of it for a long while, the s-01 automatically turns around and speeds back in the direction it came from.
A place where there is no matter or dark matter whatsoever (yes, even the vacuum of space has some matter in most places, just not really dense.) is called a "void". they have been discovered by scientists before, but I don' think they are very common. According to Old Battlestar Galactica, you cannot see stars while you are in a void. With the loss of such usefull navigational tools as stars, a fleet or convoy would become lost in a void. I also believe that there may be something like a black hole at the center of these, creating the void. In that case, the fleet or convoy could also be sucked into the singularity(a region of space where gravity is intense, a black hole is a perfect example.).
Engines that were experiments on my part. This was built before the x-0 griffin, i just was too lazy to take pictures of it.Engines that were experiments on my part. This was built before the x-0 griffin, i just was too lazy to take pictures of it.
Here's a teaser for a new joint project Alexander Pierson and I have been working on. It is a CQD/T'ndari base filled with greebles, awesome interiors, "robuts", and a good many of Alexander's peices.
It's all done, and all the pistures are taken. The only thing left to do is to photoshop them, Alexander is working on them. This picture was taken with my own camera at a local LUG meeting, and I don't photoshop.
