KOTOR Sith Fighter
A LEGO of the Sith Starfighter from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
About this creation
Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic was one game I just knew I HAD to buy as soon as I heard about it. I had always wanted a Star Wars RPG and the game was being developed by BioWare, the company that made my favorite game of all time - Baldur's Gate II. When I got the game, I loved it. It didn't have quite the same depth or scale as Baldur's Gate II, but it was a great RPG that warranted at least three plays through. I truly cared about the characters as I played, and that is why I made these LEGO customs... WARNING: there are DEFINITELY plenty of SPOILERS in here, for those of you who haven't played this fantastic game yet. So play the game before you read my write-ups. But do read them. I don't just type them for the finger exercise.

For all of my LEGO customs and any instructions I have made, please visit my website (after reviewing my custom here, of course):

A shot from the game. I always thought the KotOR Sith Fighter was kind of stupid looking. Not as cool as the TIE Fighters. It's too simplistic and it looks like it could fall apart any second.

In TIE Fighter tradition, the ship is a little cockpit attached to big, flat wings. Very spindly.

You see these fighters the most when you're fighting them in the Ebon Hawk's gunner turret. They're very easy to destroy. In fact, I never got shot down once by these guys in the game, except when it was intentional just to see what would happen. They are very, very pathetic fighters.

Since the vehicle had an obvious cockpit in the game with a very big windshield, I put a pilot in it. He looks like an Explorien, but he isn't. He has a scout trooper torso.

When the fighters first fly up before they attack you, their wings are all folded up. I'm not sure if I did it quite right, but this is just how the custom worked out.

Due to its simplicity of design (probably for fast and efficient manufacture at the Star Forge), the Sith Fighter was a nice and easy custom to make. No "new grey" parts included.

By the way, I have no idea who wrote that review down there, but it wasn't me. Still, he seems like an agreeable fellow. Can't argue really. Heh. ;-)
