I've also built a Smart Fortwo, but my own is built with Technic pieces. Please tell me what you think about it: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/347348

DJ: Yes, the gray pieces at the front of the windshield are jumper plates. The gray pieces in the back are just regular plates and tiles, turned sideways. |

The method you used to make the frame of the windsheild is genious. |

Ben - Believe it or not, there's actually a good bit of SNOT in the model... The fenders, the the entire front & back up to the license plates, and the gray "swish"s lower front and upper back. The trick with good SNOT (heh, good snot) :) is to get the bricks and plates to line up so that there's no seams. It can be tricky, but it just requires a little bit of basic "LEGO math" (5 plates sideways = 2 bricks) and a well-placed technic brick-with-pin or two. :) |

Great technique with the jumper plates. It doesn't look easy to sculpt something so small and accurate. |
