This is excellent !
I'm not so much a fan on mini-scale; but this is definately an exception !
I love the design, and colors - it looks like it's come straight out of one of John Berkey's imaginative sci-fi paintings !
Good job !
Sorry I was unable to comment, I have been gone at camp for several weeks. Anyway, this is probably my favorite of the three microscale ships. You added a lot more detail than the previous ones and there's some excellent use of curved wedges as well. Great job!
Thanks to everybody for the comments and advices !!! I'm happy that you love this one --- In answer to Chris : you're right for the "face", it came naturally during the building process, and I thought it could add something to the whole MOC :) --- In answer to Hawkeye, Darkjedi and Mark Kelso : thanks for your advices, I'll try to keep them in mind for my next micro-scale ship - and BTW it's time I begin to give names to them :)
They're right you know. You're on the rise to mocpages stardom! On the bridge (now, don't get me wrong here, I love it), was it supposed to look like the head of an idol from an islanders set from the front? If not, we'll just call it serendipity (I know English isn't your first language but call it an excuse to learn a new word). I also agree that some names may be in order but then again, what's in a name? Before I changed it to Chris, my name was Rameses niblict kerplunk Jones... actually, maybe there is something to that whole name thing after all. Oh well, something to think about while you're building your next amazing ship! ~ Chris.
I agree 100% with Kelso, your closin' in on the elites. Great detailing, I do have one suggestion for your next one: make the design a little sleeker, check out Shannon Young's Onyx as an example of a sleek, good lookin' microscale ship. Great detail on the body, 5/5.
Yeah! Each one that you've done has shown subtle improvements. I would agree that this is your best yet. Not only have you created a nice color scheme, but your placement of the secondary colors (ie not the white) is excellent. I like what you did with the bridge, and the forward hull sections. To take your next one even further, I'd suggest really trying to create areas of the hull that are quite smooth, and then a few areas with serious greeb work (Check out "Porphyrion" on Brickshelf for an example). Your micro's are really coming along. You're gonna be giving the big boys a run for their money one of these days if you keep at it. Nice work!
