Lore:While many older model light walkers have been retired over the years in favor of ExoSuit combat armor, the AT-11A continues to make up the bulk of Colonial mechanized infantry battalions. It's light weight, incredible traction and stability system make it uncanningly reliable over even the harshest and most difficult terrain. These walkers are signifigantly faster than ExoSuits and are radar sheilded, producing no telltale repulsorlift emissions, the Sagittarius makes for an ideal scout vehicle in many environments and in battles where stealth is important. These vehicles are also deployed on worlds that produce askewed gravity, this hazard can make calibrating repulsorlift engines difficult or dangerous at best.
Ambulatory Technologies are the primary supplier for Colonial 'Ambulatory Weapon Platforms', or as most soldiers call them 'walkers'. The AT-11A is the smallest of these units in production, and while their size and armament might limit their usefulness in full blown engagements, they have found their unique niche within the mechanized infantry. Their armor provides more than adequate protection from most infantry weapons, and the repeating blaster cannon allows a single soldier sufficient firepower equal to that of a heavy weapon emplacement. While the light walker may eventually be phased out as more advanced ExoSuits and other combat frames are developed, for now at least the Sagittarius will continue to see action on all fronts, and has surely made it's mark in history.
