A bit faster than the traditional Y-Wing, and much deadlier. Deceiving, isn't it?
About this creation
While Rave is in cahoots with the Knaar Pirates, he flies an Advanced Y-Wing. When I say advanced, mind you, I mean he's modified a normal Y-Wing to excel in many fields. The engines have an extra kick to them, and he's got a full payload with an enemy's name on it.
The normal pic. Drink it in, folks, we're just gettin' started.
There's Rave in the cockpit. Sorry, folks, he's just gonna have to deal with being in a comfortable position.
Close-up of the ion cannon. To give it optimal range while being creative, it rotates on a technic ball, formally a Quaffle. I think it suits its new job just fine :)
There's R2-B5 in the back, providing maintenance and advice.
Here you can see the additional underside, a bit colorful but still sticking to the color scheme.
Too lazy to build a makeshift stand, I utilized the ion cannon for a different use: propping up the Y-Wing for a sideways, close-up view of the underside. That's a LOT of inverse slope pieces I went through.
hmmm.... good point. Excuse time, everyone! Rave is SUCH a good pilot (how good is he?!), he doesn't have to remove panels to fiddle with broken parts--'cause they never get broken in the first place! :)
