Well here is the big one, the company mine build complex. This is version,
There are some visual differences on this building more so than the others. I
decided that the original model was simply to bland to model in LEGO. First was
the exchange of 2 LEGO windows for 3 model windows and used black frames and
white mullions. A dark gray stripe was used to delineate the different
"floors" of the building, but mostly a way to breakup the large areas
of flat gray wall. We also "speckled" the wall with pearl-esque gray corrugated
bricks on both orientations (in fact even some on edge). The the original pillars
seem to be plain posts, I like the tri-post supports better, dresses it up a
I had some help with the build of this beast! Kelly McKiernan, a fellow GPLR
member (& of bzpower fame), came by and we spent 5 hours get it mostly
built. 1 hour building - 4 hours of Kelly trying to get me to add Bionicle
I really love this building and feel you have faithfully recreated the model you based it on. You even have it looking weathered down! I look forward to seeing your future models.

Although I love the whole Turtle Creek Branch Line this model has to be my favourite from it. It really captures the look and feel of an old mine so well and is impressively large without looking boring. Brilliant!
