The rod roasts the fiery engine, idling steadily as the drag strip lights change to red, then orange... Then green :)
About this creation
My favorite big car yet is still the Mark 5 I made, but this is also awesome: Take a peek, dude.
The photography for these are decidedly high-class - and that's what you get for buying a digital camera. Buy a great camera, and it'll make a great photographer outta you. No, just kidding, of course not: It takes talent, like I have ;)
Like the way I made my wittle, cute (cuddly?) ROARIN', SNARLIN', SMOKIN' exchausts ;)
The Engine is made from a Chevy Small Block, but with a aerodynamic cover for the engine, or more sleekness and greater speed.
Rev rev, baby :D
Ah. Here's the engine! See the V8? Like with the 4 pistons, 4 on each side? And the blower? I really love the way it turned out, and I'm expecting lots of comments. I always wanted to be part of ~The Rod Club~ ;)
Ah, one of my favorite photos ever of Lego. My true favorite, though, is the main pic +)
Metalflake is powered by a Small-block V8 with 390 horsepower, with an aluminum cover on the engine for extra sleekness. That was a bad excuse, but, to tell the truth, I couldn't figure out a better one. Like, I didn't have enough complicated engine pieces. No way, I didn't.
So, do you like the rod? And, Ape Fight; is it Rod Club worthy? Please post it.
And, your "Rod of the Moment has just been on for the last week... Change it.
I was inspired by when I was going to bed a few nights ago when I was smearing the blue mint toothpaste across the brush, and I realized that if I looked really closely, it appeared like metal-flake paint. And it was blue, the lame color which I have a ton of for making cars. Duh, I have absolutely zero green, I wish I had some.
And you guys? D boy, tell me if you like it. And NO, this is not the Top Secret project I'm working on; this is just a "regular" scorchin', scaldin', hot, boiling rod. No sir, not just a rod. A scorchin' hot rod. Uh huh. Sound weird.
And, Apple, make a car. Pretty please, I'm waiting so furiously for when you get that rat rod out. And D boy, when is that Rod coming!!?? T boy, I hope this is a change from my minigaraging - and back ta good full-size models. Thanks, I'll stick to minigarage ;)
And this is my record for most pics used in one creation.
Sure R.G, a 4-wide can be the next ROTM, as long as its easily recognisable as a Rod. P.C's is gonna be a tough one to follow, but I think D.D may have made it. Yours can be the next one. Congrats again on a very nice MOC. Apple (below): Technic can be very tricky! All respect to small scale, but I hope you now see why I usually give large scale higher ratings! My Rat Rod took well over a week just for the drivetrain/steering!
ha ha ha my friend...massively well done!!! well worthy of the rod club...and now about my "hot" rod...I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH THAT THING, THAT IT MAKES ME GIVE UP ON CONTROLLED STEERING!!!... dang GEARBOX!! oh yea now about your rod...i like the engine and oh yeah man, the whole thing rules!!! RULES I SAY!!...so ape you better make this rod of the moment for a whole month...(before my huge ratrod 100th moc that is... mwahahahahaha!!!)
since the screwed up moderators dont like me, ill have to write my comment again...first of all, this is a AWESOME rod to start with. the engine is just really freaky(not in a good way but a GREAT way) and the whole shape is awesome...oh and watch out for dylans rod...oh my when i 1st saw it i almost choked to death. so cu man!!! keep this up
