Technic Supercar. Inspired by the classic 8448 supercar but with contemporary design construction and style.
About this creation
In this car I tried to build as many separate modules as possible.
In the endresult engine, gearbox, front suspension, rearsuspension and bodywork can all be removed. Put the V12 engine in the front or rear and select front wheel or rear wheel drive.
Because of the modularity it will be quite easy to make all kind of different cars with different suspensions, different looks, and all kind of other features.
More pics can be found here.
This is the chassis with all the main functions. The engine is placed in the front.
This is the unibody frame to which all the other modules are connected.
Engine can also be mounted in the back.
View from behind. I added the small spoiler in the end to make it look a bit faster. Dual exhaust system.
Basic interior with 2 toned seats and 5 speed gearbox + reverse.
Sideview with the visible spoiler again on the back.
Transmission. Here you can manually select if you want the car to be front or rear wheel powered.
For those interested to build this car, a 200 page, high quality .pdf is available for a small fee here.

Hi Nathanael. Fully understand your comments about 'too much lego' that is why I love your ethos on alternatives. Lessons learned from using self limitation can also be used in all future mocs. 8476 is an absolute beauty and yes I know you designed it - that is why I bought it second hand on ebay :). I got it at a good price too, as it came without box, instructions and was incomplete. The body styling is stunning and the studless chassis has taught me a lot. I would also like to build this supercar, I just need your skills or maybe instructions :D.
Yes, I can see that. But personally I don't mind using studs to hold the chassis together. And I think that kind of construction is very helpful, especially for beginners.Because they can use trial and error method without having to take those screws all over again to dismantle the construction.

It looks similar to 8448 model, is there any difference that you can point out?
8448 was indeed my inspiration, but apart from similar functions they have pretty much nothing in common as 8448 had a chassis which was brick built and this has a unibody frame which is a complete studless TECHNIC beam construction. I suggest to have a closer look and see for yourself that every module in this model is different from 8448 and designed from scratch.
i have the offroader...(and also 2 sets of the towtruck)...but I need some of those flexible bars I guess....,,,would like to make a car that actually RUNS with the motor....dont care much for the motor- functions in the offroader...that pulling hook for instance!!...what that all about??..and also the rising and lowering of the car i could do without.....waiting for the postman to bring me the "silver champion" and the big ferrari 1:8....AND the 1:10 F1 ferrari.....but the "enzo" and the other ferrari seems to be soooo expensive.....

what I meant was...which sets are needed to build it?
With this model I didn't limit myself to only a few sets. I used my full collection of bricks. However I think a big part can be built with the 8653 Enzo and 8297 Offroader.
Regarding instructions I can only say: have patience...
excelent work, awesome car, magnificent, please make building instructions the modules the gear box and suspensions front and back, or most pics and details, please send at email@example.com
congratulations for his model,
Please make building instructions! It is really awsome and i think i got all the pieces. But i barely got my first technic set of the offroader about a week ago. Please send instructions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you, really, if I get back to Lego, it's because of you, moreover because of this car. First time I've been looking on the web to see what was new about Lego it's your cars I've seen ...and..whaoo what a shock. I'm building the silver concept car with the plans you made by now..I must learn to walk before to run! but soon I will make my own models! are you working on plans for this one? (sorry for the english)
Yet another full hit from your hand!
Do i see a full 4WD there?
Amazing, how you squeezed in the gear box, while keeping the center part of the frame so low.
One opportunity to improve *may* just be the seats being spaced a bit far apart.
A true masterpiece!!!
Great work man! very accurate and complicated technic car, the out lines are perfectly built, and the techniques you used under the car are just impressive! I've to admit that I'm not in technic cars, but this one is one from the best that I've ever seen.. keep up the great work >>> peace.. fofo
