Mindstorms SMG v.2
Improved mindstorms rubber band SMG. see the gun in action with the videos.
About this creation
This article should have come to you 3 days ago, but after AN HOUR of hard work, ALL my work is erased because of some problems with the server or Internet connection. from now, I'm using backups.

When I made the mindstorms SMG v.1, i had underestimated the NXT's capability. turns out the servo motors can hold the rubberbands quite safely. so, i've done some modifications to the mindstorms rubber band SMG. the servo motor that used to drive the trigger is now connected directly to the 'firing gear'(see my other guns for details). the gearing makes the 'firing gear' turn just enough to release 01 band each time the motor rotates 180 degrees. the mode selector and rest of the gun is basically the same. this new mechanism means the gun can hold more bands, although sometimes it might fire out a double shot (2 bands at a time) and sometimes a blank. accuracy is a little bit reduced ( I haven't figured out why) but the bands can be stretched

more= more power.
the pics and video will explain more.

pics of the gearing (side cover removed)

this video will show you the mechanism in action. you probably can't see the NXT screen, but the modes' names are shown on it each time i switch.( i tried to show it, but it's just too hard)

precision test: shooting from that chair in semi-auto mode. think it's too easy? try to do it yourself.

sorry I took too much time aiming. i not a very great shooter.

unleash the power of full-auto mode. count how many bands were shot.( 22, with 3 imprisoned inside the barrel for going the wrong direction)

shooting from that very same chair at a dictionary in full-auto mode. the camera lies on the table.

have you notice a glimpse of my haircut? very suitable in a hot country like Vietnam.

So, feel free to comment, don't just rate me bad without reasons, i need to know what i must improve. ask anything you want. instruction MAY come in some weeks, if many people ask. i'm very busy studying, so i can't guarantee. have fun!

I don't know if "Phong" means anything in the Philipines, but it might mean wind like in Vietnam
