This is my only mini-fig scale mech other than my Legacy from Brian Kescenovitz's: Dawn Forge. This is still a work-in-progress, because I need to get some tiles to cover the studs.
About this creation
The Spirit Ninja's design came from the head. Originally, the head was going to be a body for a different mech, but I noticed the Ninja look and came up with this study, work-in-progress ninja mech. The Spirit Ninja got it's name because it is actually a physical representation of Phong Chang's(me) fighting spirit and power. The Spirit Ninja, Like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is powered by raw fighting spirit. (Basically, the Spirit Ninja is like part of Phong Chang.) Because of this, it can also become the size of a galaxy or bigger, but the look of the Spirit Ninja doesn't change like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann's. (That show has a big effect on me!)

Phong Chang's old costume, which is now his mecha pilot costume.
I don't know, S-Cry-Ed was the best animated thing I've ever seen. Does TTGL have jazz music? Oh yeah, and I KNOW, that TTGL doesn't have Straight Cougar in it. But I'm not talking from experience yet, I'll have to check out TTGL. Nice ninja btw, I especially like the head. Keep on building... with Radical Good Speed!
Ayy! What's goin' on man?! Nice to see another masterpiece! Love the sword on this! And the fig is such an orginal design! Great job (Like you really should be surprised hearing me say that!) HA HA HA! See ya 'round!
Yeah dude, NEVER self rate; even with the ever-present spammers. And I thought you were going to change your name soon, glad you decided to finally do it. And I know that completely greebling it up would take away from the desired effect, but it has to have some cool detailing, and greebling is the easiest and best looking way to go. And I HATE those feet, can't wait to see the better ones. ~Will
I am going to change the feet. Trust me, I hate them too, but they were the only pieces that could make it stable. All of the raitngs are because of the spammer, so I had to re-rate my MOC, but decided that the ratigs will only matter on the final, so I gave myself a 1 using my other account to make up for it. See for yourself. There's also the people who wouldn't comment.
Awesome detailing! The head has a very unique shape! My goodness, how did I forget to mention the other attributes? The katana is an excellent addition that really made my head spin. All in all, very well done. Yours brickly, Nick
I'm only signing out and using my alternate account and spamming my own MOC, beecause this W.I.P. isn't meant to be at highest rated just because I angrily rated it up earlier. I will let the final version get here, but I will change my rating if I decide to put the final on this page. This is Phong Chang doing this, so nobody is spamming me right now. I'm spamming my own MOC.
Hey man its not spam I just don't think that this is one of your better mechs so far. I mean the overall shape is pretty good. Don't let anything come between us. I'll most likely rate the final project a 5. ~ Jonathan
Love it dude! I'm working on the Iron giant (an arm tall) and the leggs just didn't work (i finished them now). I thought: Oh dear... I bet Phong would make lovely leggs. Anyway... The armor looks sweet. The head looks cool too! Try to use Picasa 2 in the future! Keep it bricky!~Joris
The head is supposed to look like it does, because it has that ninja look. I actually really like how the head looks, but I think it looks weird to you because the spikes on the shoulder look like part of the head because of the lighting, making the head look too thick. I agree about the studs, but I think this is going to be better than my Liberty Gundam when it's finished. It's supposed to have a more human look, not the bulky Gundam or other mecha proportions. Trust me; I checked its proportion with the 12 inch McFarlane Master Chief I got for my birthday, and it's the same size and proportions. The Spirit Ninja is meant to look like a normal ninja, but scaled up. It also looks much better in person.
That's awesome! All the detail, the great warrior look, stance, armor I love it! Remember: Chicks dig giant robots ;) . . . My robot and your robot should fight! But i haven't posted it yet, so in like a week lol
Yep, looks really good. Besides the lack of tiles, I think you also need a lot more greebles. Tiles would improve it, but greebles take up stud-showing space [good thing] and also look sweeter if done right. Looks good, can't wait for the final! ~Will
yes, YES i was right... you are the best mech builder on this site!! this is just awesome man... well very awesome... and about the studs it's not really that problem in my opinion... i think my Phantom is still good even with the 100000 studs on it ;p any wayzzz GREAT WORK my friend >>> peace.. fofo
