M7 Caseless Submachine Gun (Halo 3 version)
I have searched all over this website and found battle rifles, assault rifles, and even magnums with all the details, but not an SMG. Now, that doesn't mean there aren't any good SMG's here, there just hasn't been one with a working bolt (or even a hammer, come to think of it.) So, instead of complaining to a bunch of people who built SMG's, I thought I would build my own with all the features: a working bolt, trigger, hammer, (yes, a working internal hammer, the same as a brickgun model) stock, and removeable clip. It took me a long time to design this, so if you rate it badly, PLEASE let me know why!!! I know, I know, it's all black. Finding all those dark grey pieces is a real pain, but I think I got the shape right. So enjoy, and don't forget to leave a comment. This is my first MOC, so some of my pictures may be a little blurry.
About this creation
The only reason it took me so long to design this thing is because the shape of the grip was really hard to capture in LEGO. The rest was pretty easy.

Stock collapsed. It works with the pin and holes method, which is simple, but reliable.
I think it looks just a little too small, though. I know the stock is a little fat, but don't worry! I'm working on a V.2 which will have a slightly longer stock.
Just pull back on the bolt handle......
And the internal hammer is cocked. Pull the trigger and "click!". Sweeeeeeeeeet. (Thank you, Brickgun!)
Magazine removed from the front...
And from the back. Here you can see that little hump thingy in front of the magazine. I'm not sure why it wasn't on the Halo 2 version.
The left side, with a nice view of the magazine. For those of you who aren't familiar with Halo, the SMG fires caseless ammo from a 60-round magazine, which it can empty in just a few short seconds. Caseless bullets have a hollow base where the propellant is stored, instead of using seperate brass casings. Because of this, the gun doesn't need an ejector port.
The right side. Here you can see the bolt handle and the pin that holds the stock in place.
From the top. Sooooooooo smooooooth...Whew! Good thing I had all those black tiles.
The magazine. It just snaps onto the side of the gun with those pegs.(crickets chirping)
The left side with the stock in. I haven't gotten the stock to line up with the grip just right. I really need to work on this some more.
Exploded view. Any suggestions? A thought? Why do I hear crickets?!

A message for Nate and anybody else who wants instructions:

So you want instructions, huh? Then take a look at my new folder! Yes, that's an entire folder, completely dedicated to showing you how this gun is built. Remember, the instructions are for the V.2! And again, don't forget to take a look at some of the other awesome SMG's on this website!

That is seriously cool, but there is no need for a bolt because the SMG has caseless ammo, therfore it doesn't require an ejection port...still I admire your work! Have you seen my SMG? Nice work! 5/5
