Obliterator Gunship
About this creation
Well, here she is. The obliterator. Complete with miniguns, missiles, and cannons. I was kinda going for a futuristic Apache. It's practically all SNOT, with VTOL engines and all, making this a stressful build to be sure. This is a hobby! It shouldn't be this stressful! Ah, well, I hope you like it.

Oooh! Shiny!

I must say, my pilot minifig is one of my better ones. There's a 50 cal. turret under the nose to engage targets that are moving quickly, or are not lined up with the rest of the craft.

One 40 mm cannon and one minigun a side. They are mounted on a rotateable drum. I was thrilled with the arms that hold the drums in place: the stud of the dish perfectly lines up with the weird slopey-thingy.

Holy Crow! It's a giant cardboard box!

Same cockpit and moving armor plates as my Boulder APC. What can I say? It's a great windshield piece!

This area of SNOT is INSANELY complicated. I'm not bragging; I mean that in the most negative way possible. I hated my self during the build, but in the end I am quite satisfied. This is one of those "Beautiful nightmares." Also visible are the main armaments.

These massive engines put out a lot of lift, enabling this puppy to carry tons of armor. The engines are also close in to make it manuverable in tight spaces.

Small storage area. Useful for small combat supply drops. Sorry for blurry pic, my camera has no manual focus, making it impossible to clearly photograph closeups.

This is a very good build. All of the details are well executed. But I must echo Keith's comment about the landing gear... I know from experience that landing gear is hard to do, there is always a way to make it work without resorting to click hinges. KUTGW!!

The ship is great, it has a very ulitarian feel. And your right, we should have chosen an easier hobby.
