Being primarily a musician (I have the potential for a free ride through college once I'm out of high-school) I'm used to expressing feeling and ideals through my music (both playing and composing). That being said, I don't normally write out concepts or ideals, but I'll give it a try seeing as that my lack of explanation has a few people angry. So here goes.
About this creation
This sculpture was made to signify the
ideals and aspirations of mankind in a whole.
The pillar in the middle being those things.
The spiral around it shows how we strive to achieve them,
but fall short.

The colors stop where ideals stop,
the towering black pillar in the middle
signifying that which we cannot, and will not
achieve. However noble and illustrious.

there, hope you're all happy, if you're not,
just read Nannan's review.

I understand it, but it does seem more ascetic. PS: We can achieve anything with the right determination. Cheesy, but true. (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is so epic and motivational that you must see it!!!!)

I really like the structure and helix, but if you need someone else to explain your art, then it loses some of the meaning. Typically, the theme of the sculpture is created long before the sculpture itself begins in the modern art world. Still, it looks very interesting, especially the stair bit. Thanks for sitting though my brief art lesson.

I see this more as an aesthetic sculpture than a piece that carries significant meaning. In real life something like this can be seen in parks, city plazas etc, it's got great form and is pleasing to the viewer.

Half of any surrealist sculpture is the plot, storyline, meaning, etc...asking someone else to interpret your creation takes away the meaning. Other than that, it's really fantastic. Props on the whole build. ~Will

Great sculpture! It´s so simply built, but with a huge effect on the spectator. What about "the Stairway To Wisdom" as a title for this thing? Cause I believe that wisdom can never be reached and explored to its full potential - certain things will always stay unrevealed to us... The pillar in the middle is wisdom, the top of the stairs is our current state of knowledge about the universe... What do you think about the idea? Best regards, Steffen

This is very cool, and I love the way it was designed to spiral, fully. You should put something at the top of the "stairs" for the microfigs to walk to, so their trip isn't wasted though! (speaking logically, ofcourse, cuz like you wouldn't want to climb all those stairs for nothing, now would you? unless you're suicidal... then... good luck :D)

*twists head one way, then the other. Then looks upside down* I do say, that's mind-boggling. I feel thoroughly perplexed, but since I have knowledge of legos, it makes sense how it was built. Weird…… :)
