Blue Trellis Coaches
Built ~1999, blue coaches 2 axle coaches with trellis details.
About this creation
These blue coaches are my first attempt to build a turn of the century coach with dainty

When I first saw the trellis element (2145.dat) I knew I had to make a coach
set with it. I was also looking to use the 1x4x2
hinge top
(4214.dat) for a window element, where the "fingers"
model the small vent windows (I forget their technical name, oy). The black
inverse slopes on the bottom between the wheels are offset in both dimensions by
sticking the studs directly into the tubes.

The ends of these coaches are a bit fragile due to the fact that I wanted to
have flush step down stairs. These are made with a 2x2-2x2
and the tops
of bearing hinges
. The stair along with the extended length of the fixed
axle coaches forced the couplers to be extended using a Technic lift arm (see

It would look better if the coaches were longer. Good detail though.
