The Rumble is a medium-long range rocket buggy operated by the JYC.
About this creation

First off, I want to thank Shane Cooper of "The Voorlooper" for the original idea for the Junkyard Coalition. Without him, you wouldn't be here.

Now: to business!

In the frighteningly near future, earth lays like a seeping scab from one crusted horizon to the next. What happened? World war three? Nuclear terrorism? Global warming? No. Something much more sinister, more malicious, more abjectly irresponsible...

suburban sprawl.

Every tree and wild thing was ripped from it's home and thrown into the industrial chipper/shredder/mulcher/general destroyer - Until there was nothing to stop the wind. Nothing to shade the sun. Nowhere for the muddy water to run. Nothing but cracked macadam and ornamental landscaping as far as the ravenous developers' eyes could see.

However, a motley murder of misfits have rebelled. Clad in the cast-off fashions of last fall, they unite to build their junkyard battle wagons and set off to either outrun the insanity... or mow it down.
(This story is quoted from Shane Cooper's "Murray's Scurry" MOC.)

The second vehicle in the JYC is Bobby "Cheater" Jack's "Rumble" - a converted Cottonmouth + some extra bits and pieces and a rocket pod with 6 Frag definitely do NOT want to meet this bad boy when Bobby is upset.

The rocket pod is basically just a launch platform for the 6 Frag Rockets.

When I started building this, I was envisioning something more similar to Murray's Scurry, but I just couldn't get the part with the two robot-arms to look right. So I gave up and added an extra set of wheels, by attaching an Exo-Force robot hand to the middle of the connector rear and then connecting that to a vertical clip, which was in turn connected to the middle wheels. This whole setup gives the 3 sets of wheels incredible flexibility in relation to each other. I think this is really what gives it such a loose, freestyle-ish feel.

I think the AutoTrader photoshoot went rather well.

And now we have come to the end of the first chapter in the (hopefully) long and glorious saga of the Junkyard Coalition. DOWN WITH SUBURBIA!

Best thing 'bout junkyards, no one's gonna tell you what you can and can't do in them. Well, 'cept for the Rottweilers. You go, Cheater Jack!
