For Keith’s sci-fi/horror/action-controlling contest over on CSF. Because, you know, it’s got some sci-fi stuff, and some horror stuff, and…umm…some action.
The monochromatic and red color scheme is based on this artwork by Michael Whelan for the cover of an H.P. Lovecraft book. Yes, I know Nannan has already used that piece for inspiration. I guess I’m just a follower…
Also, since this is my first post in almost half a year, let me clear a few things up-
Yes, I am still playing with my laygoes. I know haven’t been very active in the community recently, but I hope to be around a bit more now. I’ve got quite a few WIPs, but I’ve been having trouble finishing things.
Yes, there are more mechs coming, but they are of the small to medium sized variety. No biggies on the horizon…at least not yet.
No, I’m still not doing instructions. I can’t even finish my new stuff…
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the new MOCpages, and as always, thanks for looking.
alright brian, you better thank baron von ben for this comment, cause i like this stuff, but i was about to go to sleep and so i was going to just turn of the computer without commenting on this, but then i saw the barons comment and thought to myself: "wow, that guy is so freakin excited about this moc, he's hilarious!" and since it is christmas eve, i decided to write up this little comment before i go to sleep and dream of sugar plums... nah, no sugar plums, i'll be dreaming of new LEGO! 5/5! merry christmas!
Wow. That's all I can say. I had this huge paragraph of a comment planned for this but I'm going to make this shorter. OK, here goes: First off, I'd like to say that the overall build is fantastic. One thing I don't like is, well, uh, I don't know because everything about this is great! I especially like the last picture with the oil leak and the robot just standing there towering over you, with that look of posture that says "Huh?" Another great thing about this build is the amount of SNOT and detail that is in this. I like how the bridge is all cut up and destroyed on the edges and how the top metal part is crumbling. I wish you showed a closer picture of the soldier though... Wait never mind! I found a picture that gives a close enough picture of him. OK, two more questions and then I'll wrap it up. Did you paint the swords on that one Csek's arm? And finally, is that large device a bomb? Or is it merely some sort of computer device? I know I said this would be short, but my other idea was WAY longer.
This is most definitely one of my favorite creations on MOCpages. I have a question; if I make a Csek, (I will give you credit, of course,)does it have to be silver, or can I make it white? Also, my Sig-fig/Bot was inspired by the Csek. Come check it out if you have time!
WHOA! The build is great, but the complexity of the build (And the mechs) make things look too complicated and hard to look at. Perhaps next time, use of a somewhat-blank space should be included for the viewer's eye to rest on. But nice work! 4/5.
Wow, thought I commented on this one a looooong time ago. I was obviously busy with some cheese. Superb action poses, the broken road, entrails and oil spill are great details and i'm inspired to go and build something. what more can i say?
The reaper is beautiful, and I almost have completed one, but how did u connect the leg to the droid body at the joint? Me and my friends were needing an enemy and these are my faves ( we give credit -of course- to you). The disiples are fun to make, but how do you attach the arms, to the legs and to the body? Plz respond!
I like it

Epic...just epic. The blood...the gore...the mechs! I love it all.
Actually, if you're interested in joining FORGE, let ME know, so I can use the more secure method of e-mailing you the login info. I'm sorry, I would love to spend time praising this truly awesome vig, but I'm really short on time. Thanks for continually blinding us with pure skill and lego awesomeness. Keep on building ~ Nowhereman
There are a few builders that just make my day whenever I see they've posted something new ...this covers me for the next month! While the mechs and broken ground are brilliant, I've got to say the blood, guts, and that oil spill/leak are my favs...you make it look easy, pal!
Good brick Brian! (Yes that was cheesy.) It's about time! I understand that you've been busy though. Well done! I love the broken ground effect. This is by far one of your best vigs yet. Now sit back and watch this get MOTD in a few days. PS: I have just posted 2 new mechs that I'd like for you to see. I've improve a lot! Again, nice job! BTW: Nowhereman and I would like you to join our FORGE group account for mecha builders. If you accept, tell me, and I'll give you the password, if not, please notify us, so we know that you've made a decision. It's a lot like Mecha Hub. Brick you! ~Phong Chang
