InfraRed Controlled Offroader
This MOC is made of the offroader set except the IR-receiver, IR-transmitter and PF XL-Motor. It can steer and drive in two different speeds.
About this creation
This is an modified Offroader. I've added one PF XL-motor, a infrared receiver and a transmitter so you can drive totally remote controlled. But that is not everything, you also can drive in two different speeds by way of the gearbox.

I have token the original functions, the different heigths of the wheels and the electric cable on the front of the car, out of the model so I have enough place for the motors and gearbox.

With this gearbox you can choose your speed: at the first picture you see the gear 3:4 and at the photo on the right you see the gear 1:1.

If you turn over the pin on the first photo, the lights will burn, so by day you can save your batteries if you don't turn on the lights.

This photo illustrates very good how I attached the gearbox to the engine.

The steering-gear was, I think, the hardest part. That was because I hadn't much space in the front. I wanted to have a worm-wheel in the steering-gear, because otherwise the wheels steered to fast. But after a worm-wheel I have to make an angle of 90 degrees. That was hard because if there was some resistance the toothgears would slip. I've found something on that but therefore the cable at the front has to be removed.

These photo's show how far you can steer in:

This photo gives an nice overview of the gearbox:

These are all the spare parts after I've built my model.
