Sarevok (from Baldur's Gate)
Sarevok, son of Bhaal, villain of Baldur's Gate the Original Saga, the PC RPG game.
About this creation
I've played so many video games, and made LEGO customs of so many video games, such that it has gotten to the point that people think I'm a big console fan because of all my Halo and Metal Gear Solid stuff.

That's not the truth. I'm a PC guy, and an RPG guy above all. And my favorite games OF ALL TIME are the Baldur's Gate series for the PC!

So here, at long last, is my first LEGO custom from that epic Mother of All Great PCRPG's... Sarevok, the son of Bhaal!

Why the heck did I stick this huge and not very professionally edited bitmap image here, you ask? Because I wanted to make you wait for it. BUAHAHAHAAAA!!!

And also because MOCpages won't let me post bitmaps otherwise...

This is a pretty old picture. I have been working on Sarevok for a long time now, off and on. At first I tried to make the "teeth" on his helmet from clay just like the horns and face, but it just wouldn't work out. So I carved this out of a decal I was going to use for a "naked Elite" from Halo. I thought it worked well, so I made more decals...

And this is the result! As you can see, all of the teeth on his helmet are decals, and boy were they a pain in the posterior to cut out!

At first I didn't think that Sarevok's face was even visible under his helmet (I never could see it very well in the game cutscenes), but after surfing around the web, I found some pictures showing it...

Here is one such picture, to give you an idea of what Sarevok looks like. Yes, he's the epitome of a stereotypical villain: spiky armor, deep voice, evil laugh, skulls everywhere, wants to kill as many people as he can so that he can take over the throne of Bhaal, the God of Murder... you get the idea. Yeah, Sarevok is a son of Bhaal. Just like... Ah, but I won't spoil the game for you, in case you haven't played it (which you should!).

Another old picture. This is supposed to show Sarevok standing over the body of your foster-father, the sage Gorion, with his warrior girlfriend, Tamoko. Sarevok kills your foster-father in the very beginning of Baldur's Gate 1.

Sarevok just broke one of the key rules in the "Top 100 Things I Would Do If I Was Ever An Evil Overlord" list! If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google it...

In Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, you are forced to resurrect Sarevok from the dead, and since he knows he can no longer become a god (because he has lost his immortal essence), he decides to help you become one. So he joins your party! This is his portrait.

Now you can see where I got the face from...

Sarevok's voice is played by Kevin M. Richardson, a major voice actor. He also played these video game characters:
"Tartarus" in HALO 2
"Marine Commander Scott Dolph" in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
"Jolee Bindo" in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

and tons more, too.

Tada. Another picture of Sarevok, full body shot.

Something you never get to see: Sarevok unmasked! At least... you never get to see him unmasked while he's wearing his wicked spikey skull armor...

"I will be the last... and you will go first!" - just before killing some random Bhaalspawn
"Face ME! Face the new LORD OF MURDER!" - just before the final battle in BG1
"Killing is our father's work! Embrace it, as I have!"

"I do not fear death... do you?"

By the way, if you've never played the Baldur's Gate series (I mean all the way through Throne of Bhaal, buddy!) then you've never experienced what an RPG game SHOULD be!

Sarevok was the only reason that made me play Baldur's gate. I'm stuck at the par where you fight Tazok at the badit camp. Tazok should be the villan in Shadows of Amn to make more sence. In thron of bhaal the villan should be tamoko. That would make more sence. Don't you think
