Mankvim 814-V Light Interceptor
Entry for the Galactic Elites contest, a variant of the Techno Union starfighter.
About this creation
This is my contest entry, a variant ship. I hope it's variant enough to be considered different from the standard starfighter. It has taken several tries to upload this page, because it still won't let you upload all 8 at a time, nor can I upload 7 pictures at a time. I had to upload 2 at a time.

Story: The Mankvim-814-V came about on the world of Vroxar, a planet heavily contested by the Republic and CIS. The population, during a brief time, was cut off from reinforcements from the Droid Armies. Republic forces gained air superiority over the Separatists, who needed fighters of their own. They had the blue prints for a standard Mankvim-814, but they needed a sturdier and better quality design, something suited to the fact that the pilot wouldnít be expendable. So the 814-V came about.

It was better armored, with more powerful weaponry and payload, and had more reliable systems. Some were even equipped with a hyperdrive and shields. To make room for life support systems, the rear landing gear was taken off, replaced by stronger fins that could move into a position that doubled as landing gear. Only the frontal one was kept. The 814-V could easily outmaneuver and shoot down V-Wings and the heavier ARC-170ís. After Vroxar received reinforcements, driving off the Republic, the ship became well known for itís abilities.

The standard 814ís were put out of production on most worlds, replaced by the more expensive Vís to the Techno Unionís displeasure. These ships were easy to customize, and had a life span of many decades, leading to their popularity among many military officials. After the Clone Wars ended, another model was made (unarmed of course), for the civilian population, playing off the shipís popularity. The ship continues to be one of the best selling one seat craft, and one of the best selling ships in general.

Rules: (I hope it's right.)

Quoting Grand Admiral Darren AKA Death's Hand I didn't actually realize it is in ROTS. where did you see it, I can't find it anywhere
It was supposed to be, but all scenes with it were cut from the movie to shorten it down. The original Battle of Coruscant was over an hour long before they cut it..

This is great! My opinion is to shorten the sides a bit because it doesn't really look good. But still really good job!
