The Extremus is the heavily modified personal starship of the Imperial Remnant leader in wild space, Xerxes Fett. Designed by Roxor Fleet Systems, with a few modifications one by Xerxes Fett himself, the Elixir is a marvel of modern starfighter capabilities. Slightly larger in dimensions than the TIE Defender, but being much more condensed in surface area, the Extremus has room to fit two comfortable, but in extreme cases three or four people may be able to fit in the ship. Directly behind the cockpit there is a small storage area used to hold supplies along with Xerxes' personal belongings, although most of the ship's mass is consumed by the multiple power generators used to power the ship's many systems. Sporting two main pairs of solar panel wings and one minor pair, the Extremus can also receive additional power to support its system requirements.
Containing two laser cannons, two ion cannons, one proton torpedo launcher and one concussion missile launcher (each having a magazine of six projectiles each), and four light rapid repeating blaster cannons mounted on a turret on top of the ship; the Extremus makes quite a formidable foe in battle. The repeating blaster cannons can be turned around 360 degrees, and raised up to 90 degrees, making them excellent defenses against enemies behind the Extremus. Unfortunately, the blaster cannons have a very low power output, and are most effective against starfighters with very weak or no shields. They can, however, be wired to fire more powerful bursts of fire, but at a slower rate; and this has been know to short out the power generator or even burn out the blaster cannons.
Eight light deflector shield projectors placed in various place around the ship give the Extremus an overall shield strength that is slighter above that of the New Republic's X-wing fighter. A highly advanced sensor array located in the nose of the ship gives Xerxes the advantage of locating his enemies are before they can even notice him. Xerxes' ship also has a tractor beam projector located underneath the ship, along with two decoy beam projectors used to hide the Extremus from enemy sensor arrays and keep enemy weapon systems from locking onto the it. But because of the stress the decoy beams and tractor beam systems create on the Extremusí power generator, they can only be used for short periods of time to avoid the risk of power failure.
The Extremus contains twin SP-24 ion engines, giving it a speed equal to that of the TIE Defender, although two EG-21 thruster jets can give a slightly added boost if the need arises. A stabilizer fin located between the two ion engines help divert the high radiation content that the engines produce away from the ship. Six maneuvering jets are placed on each wing, giving the Extremus maneuverability that can only be superseded by the TIE Defender. Three repulsorlift engines give the ship added maneuverability in an atmosphere, although they are mainly used for landing purposes in conjunction with the ship's retractable tri-landing gear.
It was when Xerxes Fett first took his starfighter for a test run on the outskirts of Wild Space and the Outer Rim that he personally met the legendary bounty hunter Saber Scorpion and his ship, the Stingray. Both mistakenly thinking that they were threats to each other, they inadvertently fired shots and attacked one another. The Stingray- having superior shields and armor- and the Extremus- having superior speed and maneuverability- made quite a match for each other. After an exhausting battle, the firefight finally stopped only when both agreed to meet on a nearby planet.
As you can see I changed the grill pieces from dark grey to silver. I actually got rid of all the dark grey, except in three places (landing gear, top gun, and those little 1x1 slopes on the side of the window).
This is an amazing creation. i like all the ways that it is unique and such including the intricate wing design. also check out my XT3709 - Icespray Assault Craft - Hidden Shadow when all it's pics are up. you can read about right now on my page if you like
